“I’ve always had a powerful desire to understand how things work but when a lab career in biochemistry turned out to be too specific an application for that, it was a revelation to find a life science role at Hanson Wade. The questions in drug development are endless and diverse and through more than a decade of working at Hanson Wade I’ve seen how the right answers can transform the prospects of different drugs and whole sections of the industry”

“Leaving university with a genetics degree, I knew the laboratory setting wasn’t right for me. I wanted to work in a fast-paced business, with a strong team culture and enjoy the opportunities and fun that London offered. Looking back on my now 6 years of service it’s fair to say it has been a great ride. I built my strong sales knowledge within the Event Delegate Sales function which taught me a valuable lesson in the sales process and high activity where I ultimately became a Sales Manager and developed a large high-performance sales team. Now I have moved across to head up the SDR function for Beacon where I set processes and targets, train and develop my team and work on the market leading pharmaceutical intelligence database and as they say, the rest is history…”

“Searchlight is the ‘new kid on the block’ at Hanson Wade. Being only a few years old, and already demonstrating a serious revenue stream, it’s clear that Hanson Wade can branch out in a multitude of directions. As a Nutrition MSc and Biomed BSc graduate, I wanted to go into fast-paced London and to use my life sciences background. I moved to Hanson Wade and found the start-up mentality, and exciting culture something I knew I could develop in. The roles work closely with the academic and life science community, meaning I can be speaking with Harvard, AstraZeneca, and Moderna all in one afternoon.

What I’m very grateful for is how much the company have supported me in finding the role that best suits my skillset having moved between different functions and divisions. I was the first to join this new division and now we have over 100 clients”

“As I concluded my PhD in Regenerative Medicine back in 2017, I was unsure about the career path I wanted to take. It was clear to me that I was more inspired towards a career that I could combine my passion for science with business development. An ideal career would have been one that was fast-paced, dynamic, and commercially driven whilst still serving the life science and biopharma industry. I found that ideal career path and more at Hanson Wade and looking back at my journey over the last 5 years to where I am today as a Managing Director, I am delighted to acknowledge that I have rapidly grown as a professional, gained a staggering number of new skills and have developed life-long valuable connections both at Hanson Wade and with the biopharma industry”
