I joined Hanson Wade last year as a graduate who was unsure about what I wanted from my career. Being an Events Assistant was an exciting role, working with different project teams, managing different events in life science and construction, and travelling to the US and Europe. I had responsibilities and projects from day one, was pushed to do things that I never thought I could do, and I had a really great level of support and training to help me embrace the opportunities I was being given.
However, after a great first year in the operations team, I decided that events was not the right fit for me. At the same time, I couldn’t imagine leaving to work elsewhere. I love being part of the Hanson Wade culture. Everyone here cares about the work that they do, there are great opportunities for progression, the social side is fantastic and there’s always something to get involved in - from monthly drinks and awards ceremonies, to cultural evenings, to running a half marathon. I’m surrounded by great people and I’ve made lasting friendships.
I was therefore delighted to be given the opportunity to transition to the HR team as In-House Recruiter, a newly created role to manage our rapidly growing numbers. I now love my day to day role, attracting and retaining great talent and getting to share my passion for Hanson Wade with future Waders. I feel I’ve found a career that’s well suited to what I’m good at, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.
